There have been facebook connection issues lately, but as long as you are allowing the game to see your friends list…they should show at some point. Hopefully. Sometimes it helps to remove the game from facebook and then when you log in, it asks for permissions again and then shows them.

You do not actually own them, you just earn the chance to buy them cheaper once the piggy is full. A little confusing I know. But its just a way if you did want to buy them, you'd save some money.
