I just got rewarded 45 gold bars and had 22 before that reward. I now show 2 gold bar all because I decided to sign on with Facebook. Help where did they go

In this game, I am not aware that we can get gold bars as a reward and it is not offered on Facebook. So I think you mean Candy Crush Saga, right?
Not seeing your gold bars could be related to the fact that you created a new account when you logged in with Facebook. While boosters are stored locally on the device where you purchased them, gold bars and your progress are stored on your account's servers. If you are logged in with a King account, you will see all the Gold Bars stored on the King server.
You may need to sync both accounts. Please try these steps. I hope they help. Please click on the green font:
- Go to the page King.com on your compunter
- click on "all games"
- Log in to King.com (top right) with your email address and password, i.e. the data you used before connecting to Facebook
- Click on Settings (top right) and your profile will be displayed
- Then go to "Account". There you can syncronize. You will need to enter your password again.
- at the bottom you can click on the two arrows and sync them.
