You can remove Candy Crush from your Facebook but should you ever add it again you'll find that your progress is still there and will continue where you left off. When you say you recently left Facebook, does that mean you actually closed your account down?

How do you incorrectly close a FB account? I didn't think it would be a 1 step process. Your progress isn't gone, it's linked to your original account and does not transfer to another.

Check that you've got the latest update installed and also your connection to either Facebook or Kingdom as you need to be connected in order to have access to the quest and and special events normally.

What's happening when you're selecting the second level to play, do you get some kind of error or does it not allow you to select it.
