It does that to me sometimes when I've been away from the game for a short time. Once you play a level it should return.

That's a great question, many have the same problem and i'm one of them. I only send friend requests to people I can see have sent lives previously. Not sure the others are actually playing the game.

Do you know if the players who are playing later levels (15,000+) get bonus multipliers b/c they are playing more advanced levels? If yes, does anyone know at what level you start earning these multipliers? I recently restarted the game and am only at 700ish so I'm wondering if I'm just wasting my time trying to rush…

From what I understand they are not boosters, they are called sugar stars and you earn them for things like high scores and completing certain difficult levels. Honestly, I'm not sure what you do with them. I think they're more like badges.
