Yes as mentioned by Bearwithme, I do go back to specific way back levels to complete the tasks in side games; notably in 4 in a row where eg CB+stripes/wraps or double wraps will be much quicker to obtain in lower levels than in higher ones despite the scrolling (which I have to agree is a bore 😅, hence the request for a portal 😉).

Mind you, I am still not very high on the map (a little under 4000) , so the scrolling is not so time consuming. At a much higher level, I might have to reconsider this strategy.

On a side note, for completing tasks in 4 in a Row or Bear Climb, you don't need to win the levels, just to create or collect specific candies or combinations.

Good morning @LoFiGummy thank you for this update to the games. This updating trend in games and community seems to me never ending recently ... And usually really not in favour of members/players, I am afraid to say.

gold pins are no longer showing in your game and that you’re not able to go back and play previous levels.

Gold pins are not really useful to me unless I use old levels for contests. They then are an indicator to the kind of result I can expect when replaying them. I could however do without them.

But not being able to play old levels at all would be a "game" breaker to me.

I use old levels to complete side games in order to gain boosters to move on the map. Not being able to play old levels anymore will hinder my game play. Hence no play at all…

It was already bad enough that major changes had been made without notifications in Bear Climb (more level to complete before top rewards, game set up in tier with compulsary reaping tier rewards). These changes made the numerous short-timed boosters totally useless.

Now if our wishes really matter to the Studio, how about setting up the ever claimed portal to navigate quicker on the map?

I apologise if my comment seems a bit acid, but this idea of not being able to go back on the map has really irritated me.
