Like everyone else mentioned, these cute little guys replace the skeleton heads that alerted players to the difficulty of certain levels.
I am ok with either method to make me aware of the difficulty ahead

I am in favor of the Octobites. They are better than the current meanies π. The colors are just the representation of the level of difficulty. I look forward to seeing them in the game soon. Thank you.
