I had one account that saw the dreaded wheel. I gave up playing that account in protest and in order to support everyone else here.

For anyone who has not seen the Wheel in action, this is how the wheel works:

The wheel is set up to give players what the app wants them to receive, so if a player is meant to pass with 10 gold it will offer them the number of moves that will help pass, if the player is meant to spend more than 10 gold it will offer them too few moves and continue to do so until the player either gives in and pays or has the sense to stop playing. This means the wheel is yet another way for the the app to control the outcome of players' games. It increases the boredom for all, and the frustration of any player still looking for a strategy. The Wheel makes the player a spectator in an app that now essentially plays itself.

Yes, players who generally play to keep their win streaks won't be affected by this wheel. So its introduction will make no difference to those people. However, there are millions of players who use a different strategy to play (I would call this the "replay" method) and King risk a mass efflux of players if they continue with this wheel. Judging by the opponents I see in live events the majority of players do not keep their win streaks but use the replay method to progress.

Yes, we used to only get +5 extra moves or only up to +35 extra moves in the long distant past. However the level difficulty has changed drastically since then. In those days there were "no boosters" solutions and players would get a lucky board to help them pass eventually if they replayed a level often enough. Since the demise of no boosters lucky board solutions players have adjusted their strategies and have used the "pay 10 gold bars when you are offered enough moves to pass" strategy instead. This method is the foundation of how people play and enjoy playing Candy Crush. The Wheel alienates all of those players and directly counters the methods millions use to play and enjoy the game! If King go through with this they risk losing half their player base.

We the players are the true game experts. Trust us on this one: The wheel must go.
