Thank you @DieOmimi and thank you to the points @Snow_Rider, which has really helped my status, I am now Legend 😍 Currently 485 badges gone, but as long as the points don't change this is ok with me. I get collections of things take up space, and for functionality de-cluttering makes sense.

Hi @Creative_Elsa I've read all the comments here and understand our players' frustration. I held back for a long time because I didn't want to add fuel to the fire. But today I had to say something.

And please excuse the fact that no Community Manager has responded yet. They're all incredibly busy, and players obviously can't see that.

I took a screenshot before the cleanup, and you can see that losing so many badges really affected me too.

If you go to my current profile, please subtract the last 3 badges (because I only received them after the cleanup) to find out how much I've lost. I play ALL King games and have always participated when there were badges to be won.

I urge you all to trust our community managers. They know far more than we moderators do and invest a great deal of time to keep our community alive. 😅

I've also lost a lot of badges. But complaining here, wiggling my ears, or stomping my feet won't bring them back.

I know there was a good reason for this. Let me use a closet analogy. If you keep buying clothes and putting them in your closet, eventually it will be full and there won't be any more room. 💥Compare that to our community, imagine you've been buying clothes for the last seven years, putting them in your closet, and never checked whether clothes from previous years still fit, are still in style, or whether you even still wear certain items. I bet you'd find a lot of things in that closet that no longer fit or that you wouldn't even wear anymore. And what do you do then? You declutter, sort out the clothes you no longer need, and sell them secondhand or donate them to an organization that helps people in need.

That's exactly what happened with our badge tool. It was simply overloaded and had run out of space. That's why there have been hardly any new badges lately, because none could be created anymore. Many of the badges were still available but couldn't be reused. For example, the international corners were removed, and some games like Papa Pear or Scrubby Do were discontinued. There are no more scores on the end screen in Candy Crush Saga, etc. But all these badges existed (and yes, even the one for the backstage area; I had it too). To prevent the badge tool from collapsing💥 (who knows what would have happened then?), the community managers had to act and clean things up. Imagine if they hadn't, and the badge tool had crashed with catastrophic consequences. You wouldn't just have lost all your badges, but also the points associated with them. And nobody would have given you anything back. I don't even want to think about what else could have happened. 🙈🙉🙊
