Hello @jan126 You have found a very old thread which is largely out of date.
Players cannot request what events they get nor how often they will see them in Candy Crush Saga. King alone decide how often we see events like Candy Royale and the frequency at which it shows up in our games differs from player to player and changes over time. There is no one here in the community who can influence this.

The dash appeared in 2024 as well @Squirrely_Girl23 but back then all I had to do was click on the Event to open it and my progress was then updated.
More concerning is that your screenshot shows 'Qualified' and at this time it should show 1st Knockouts'
Seeing as you have paid for a Season Pass it will be a shame if you can't still compete.
Unfortunately every year results in complaints from players saying that they have suddenly lost the chance to compete. No one from King has ever said what the cause is and as it happens every year it is plain they aren't interested in fixing the problem.
Have you tried playing a new level?

Well in my game they did provide information informing that the tokens were limited to six for the entire competition @Villkatten
I imagined that because I received the message that every other player did as well. Maybe that wasn't the case.

You sound like you play the game the same way that I do. One Episode a day, but not every day, and I don't usually play at the weekend.
Which player are you in the list.
There is a thread started by Christinewupp where people have posted their All Stars leader boards. You might like to post there as well
