  • Nice discussion about optical illusions @Elsa, and thanks for the tag @Diamond Lim. Here are my answers to these puzzles.

The left picture shows both a person and a waterfall. The right picture is supposed to be a farm, but it also shows someone's face, with the house windows being its eyes, and a mustache near the lambs.

For the second puzzle, the left picture someone is holding an umbrella under the Eiffel Tower. It also somewhat looks like a big face. The picture on the right shows two things: someone's half-face looking at you OR someone’s full face looking at the right.

And here are some optical illusion examples:

Everyone see things differently. You can say that the picture above represents two fish in a black sea, or these two fish are actually eyes of a person.

Here's some information on optical illusions:

An optical illusion (also called a visual illusion) is an illusion caused by the visual system and characterized by a visual percept that arguably appears to differ from reality. Illusions come in a wide variety; their categorization is difficult because the underlying cause is often not clear but a classification proposed by Richard Gregory is useful as an orientation. According to that, there are three main classes: physical, physiological, and cognitive illusions, and in each class there are four kinds: Ambiguities, distortions, paradoxes, and fictions. A classical example for a physical distortion would be the apparent bending of a stick half immerged in water; an example for a physiological paradox is the motion aftereffect (where, despite movement, position remains unchanged). An example for a physiological fiction is an afterimage. Physical illusions are caused by the physical environment, e.g. by the optical properties of water. Physiological illusions arise in the eye or the visual pathway, e.g. from the effects of excessive stimulation of a specific receptor type. Cognitive visual illusions are the result of unconscious inferences and are perhaps those most widely known.

Top Right: the image of a mans face; 2 buildings; a boy sitting with his back facing us.

Bottom Left: the image of a woman's face

Bottom Right: a front and side view of a man.

    #LoL y'all! 😅

I see the same colors in the sneaker sneaker as you do, @Nat09 & @wykoon.

What kind of shoes, you ask? ... Well, some hocus pocus image our dear @Elsa shared with me... perhaps I should have posted it in BW3! 🔮 😁 I'm still trying to figure out why @DieOmimi, your husband & my husband @MAW1972 -who is sitting right beside me- see pink! 🤷‍♀️

    .

    .

    How about this one?! ⬇️

    • Stare at the black cross in the middle of this video. What do you see? What happens to the pink dots?

You guys would love this show, it plays on Netflix also.

I’ve seen that before @Miss_Dani there’s a green dot going around 🤪🤣 BTW. Do you happen to know what colour the shoe is originally??😳

@Elsa there is one article saying when you look at the picture.like what I see in picture Top left..let say I see the big face first then the horse. The article say that "It alludes to the idea that you're a more analytical person. You tend to focus on the big picture and disregard minor details. You are a visual learner and pick up lessons quickly"

    what do you think friends?

I found this picture on the net..what do you see first can be deducted into few analysis about yourself.

Please pick..then I will give the analysis from the article

@siti_payung first i saw the tiger 🐯 what will he say about me? 👀

These types of images are explained by the Principles of Gestalt theory, and represent the principle of "figure / ground".

I apply them in photography and also teach my students.

    I was a lion...but I make same asumption

The lion is usually noticed by those who match it in their spirit of fiery freedom. These are the people who function only on their lunches and impulses. They don’t waste time on thinking things through, but rather let their instincts take over. After all, it was our instincts which made survival possible when we were just Hunter-gatherers. Because they live beyond rules and limits, they tend to have a life full of new adventures. But they are often forgetful of others.

Hi @siti_payung so then I'm an analytical person, which is true. And it is soooooooooo very true that I am a visual learner and that is why you will see print screens in some of my responses because I have to show them what they are looking for. That is very interesting information. Thanks for letting us know!

Regarding the shoe I see it as grey with teal shoelaces. I was fascinated when I first heard about this because I couldn't understand how some people see it as a pink sneaker when I know my eyes are showing me grey!

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
