Wow! @Elsa I didn't know there was such a day. Thank you so much for this thread and interesting information. I love racoons, although we don't have wild ones in this country.
Growing up on a farm, I developed a very strong bond, deep connection and respect for animals and the environment at a very early age, so this is quite a meaningful post to me. (I also became vegetarian for many years as a result, which didn't go down very well with my father)
There seem to be so many appreciation days today! 😂
