Hi @Spinnifix thanx for the tag @Diamond Lim

    Happy Face Your Fear Day!

I don't have a paralyzing fear, but I do have things that I find uncomfortable to very uncomfortable. I developed a thing for heights, but like climbing a ladder for example but I can handle being in high places.

As someone with PTSD (childhood cancer - long story) and social anxiety, I think this is a great idea. There is often stigma attached to psychological issues; it helps when we open up and communicate with each other.

I’m open about my anxiety & PTSD (since late teens, anyway), and when it comes up on occasion, almost always someone thanks me later in private for talking openly, as they’d been dealing with similar struggles while feeling embarrassed or shameful about it.

It also surprises people, as I have learned to deal with it (thanks to meditation, therapy, and medication) well enough (usually) - mental issues are invisible, you can’t always tell what a person is going thru without communication!

Thank you @Spinnifix and @Diamond Lim for the tag. Thank you @Spinnifix for this post and bringing the awareness around it. As said can be a very deep, complex, stigmatising and life limiting condition over a wide range of fears. I find "tapping" which is holistic, helpful, but it doesn't cure my anxieties. I have also had other help. Sometimes it is hard to get to the root of the source, and even then it is not always possible to overcome.

One of mine is Acrophobia. This became a little less intense when I used to go sea fishing with my husband (before we were married) pretty much even weekend, we used to fish a lot of competitions, and fished from rocks which meant many accents and descents of cliffs around our county, some of which were really scary, but he gave me courage to battle my fear, (he was like a mountain goat! 🤣) and I put my trust in him. So the more we went the easier I could handle it, but it never went away, I have had panic attacks and froze many times. Now I don't go, I have lost any confidence. So I guess the more you face your fear the easier is to live with it. However, in my case it does give me Vertigo which is unpleasant and so not safe at heights, unless you are totally safe.

    I have several fears.
Fear of some animals, such as snakes and spiders.
    Fear of lightning and thunder.
    Fear of heights.
When I see a spider, I run away.
When it starts to rain, I get worried about lightning and thunder, if I'm outside, I look for a place to shelter.
When I need to climb high, I try not to look down.
