Thanks Elsa, I like to read! I like the info about New Years. I also want to say how I like the animated King characters in the New Years gif picture.

January 1 is not significant to the Chinese community. Chinese do celebrate January 1 but for most Chinese around the world, Chinese New Year, Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year, is the most important and most festive holiday of the year. Chinese New Year 2022 falls on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022.

  • Once again thank you tagging queen @Diamond Lim and info queen @Elsa. I really enjoyed yet another informative post of yours. My new years celebration will start on friday new years eve and go until midnight Saturday new years day we have so many festive things we do to celebrate as well as a huge family dinner on new years day I'm so excited to see what this new year brings. I hope everyone has a safe, fun, blessed new years

  • Thanks @Elsa for an interesting read on celebrating the New Year. I am originally from Newfoundland which is the most Easternly part of North America & has it's own time zone so I actually celebrate New Year's twice. Midnight in Newfoundland is 10:30 EST so on New Year's Eve my family & I raise our glasses and celebrate with our family in NL at 10:30 p.m. and we celebrate again at midnight in Ontario, Canada. There is a well known song with a chorus " So half an hour later on the island in the sea, she may be late but she's still great, she means the world to me. When God designed creation and drew up his master plan, he spent half an hour later creating Newfoundland." Author is Charlie Russell, a young man who wrote the song after moving away from home.

Thanks for the tag @Diamond Lim & hoping that everyone had a very Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holiday & wishing you all a Happy & Healthy New Year! 🍾πŸ₯‚
