Do you really have to make three 8 letter words to win Alpha Betty?

I have been trying to solve level 244 Alpha Betty with no luck. Supposedly the way to solve it is to make three 8-letter words. I just watched a video of an example and there are times that 6-letter words count. I'm very confused.
