I love King's games. His designs are lively and beautiful. Easy to adapt to the vision.
π Do you use accessibility features when playing or on the forum
Yes. I set up my games so that it makes it easier for me to play and not fatigue my eyesight. And avoid visual fatigue.
π What settings do you use to make our games better for you

Hi @FluffyDinosaur,
Great and informative thread, thank you.

I have been working with @TheFishsta on improving the accessibility for players. I also use those features in my game since I have a severe vertigo problem, I have issues with the movements, the brightness of the game. Itβs great to be able to adjust the game to my own needs and not affect other players. I hope this feature will be implemented in all the games ππ°

I do not require accessibility features but I knew the features existed, especially on CCFriends. I am so glad they have these features and agree that Everyone should be able to enjoy these fun games that help me personally to stay mentally π bright and young!

Hello there @FluffyDinosaur and thanks for sharing the info about the accessibility in King's selected game.
Below are my replies on the questions posted.
π Did you know anything about accessibility features in games?Β
Yes. I've discovered the accessibility feature in Candy Crush Friends Saga when I've started playing it in July 2021.
π Why is being able to play games important to you?
It gives me a sense of achievement besides the fun and thrill in completing the in-game challenges.
π Do you use accessibility features when playing games or in the forum?
Yes. I use it in my CCFS cos that's the only game with that feature.
π What settings do you use to make our games better for you?
Below are the settings that I'm using in CCFS.

It's so great to read everyone's comments on this subject! Keep those thoughts coming everyone, no matter how big or small :O)
π«Loving the Accessibility option seen in Friends & would like to see this as a common standard available in all games. I'm so appreciative of constructive feedback received in Jelly on the Accessibility Topic & that's enabled me to do some research to better understand some concerns players may have. Whether that be for contests, navigation or device issues. So interesting to explore this topic!
π« Playing the different games is not only fun & relaxing in your down time, it keeps the mind sharp, aids in problem solving & all the work gone into the graphics & storyline keep it interesting.
π« I do prefer the Black Screen with coloured font but don't use it in the forum, so as not to make it difficult for others. Too much of the colour pink or neon blues can cause contrast & light issues for me visually. I do love the clarity of graphics & the use of a dynamic colour palette in Friends π I like seeing pics of other players languages in game also.
π« I like understanding the different narratives of the games & the influence of that for strategy, in understanding different Game Modes, Function & Placement of Boosters & Blockers & elements/ assets (Swedish Fish in Crush work differently to Jelly Fish in Jelly Saga) & utilizing the in game events & features rewards, to compliment game play (Allen's journey + Daily Plant Reward + Star Chase Chests, Episode Race + Safe Missions)
π« I will have the sound on when playing, as different moves can create different sounds & I like the rhythm.

Hello @FluffyDinosaur. It's nice to learn that King is committed to making accessibility a priority.
π Did you know anything about accessibility features in games?Β
No, I did not.
π Why is being able to play games important to you?
I have a cognitive deficit, so games like CCS help to keep my mind sharp.
π Do you use accessibility features when playing games or in the forum?
No, I wasn't aware of them before now.
π What settings do you use to make our games better for you?
I keep the sound off. I get migraines, so silence is my best friend.

I agree with difficulty seeing through layers of sugar coat. It's difficult to distinguish between orange, red and blue, green, sometimes purple. My color acuity was tested every year for my job, it's "excellent" and I struggle with these. These levels must be horrible for the visually impaired.
I wasn't aware of different features in CCFS, wish they were available for CCS.
I appreciate the game trying to be more accessible so everyone can enjoy playing.
Thank you!
