I have confirmed my mail a few times now and the click here to resend badge keeps popping up as if I never confirmed my email

You make sure edit/change your correct email address then save on edit settings again first. Then you make sure write your password and then you received your correct email address that I hope you can log in your same profile with your correct email address and it works. 😉
