What’s with the differences between Android and Apple devices?

Level 1

edited January 2023 in Discussions

My boyfriend and I both started playing Candy Crush together for something to do in our down time. After playing together and trying to keep up with each other through the levels we have noticed a lot of (game changing) differences as I am severely falling behind.

The first, and biggest difference in my opinion is that the same levels have a different amount of max switches available to beat the level. For example, on my Apple phone, level 163 gives me a max of 19 switches. Whereas on my boyfriends Android phone, level 163 gives him 30 moves to complete the level. If you’ve played this game enough you’d know that 11 moves is a lot, and is a game changer. He flew through that level and got Sugar Stars, and I’ve been stuck on it all day and have hardly been close to beating it. This is the first level I’ve noticed this on but theres probably countless more.

This discovery has been super frustrating and honestly makes me question if I want to keep playing. My boyfriend barely has trouble with his levels, and I’m caught getting stuck on every other level.

A few more differences between the two include:

Apple phone: Can’t watch adds to earn more moves after losing a level, Android phone: you can earn up to 5 additional moves to beat a level.

Certain items and bundles in the shop cost MORE money on Apple phones than Android.

There are other minor differences that I don’t personally care about. But the first issue I talked about is so frustrating. I’d really appreciate an explanation as to why that issue exists and if there’s any chance that King will fix this and make it fair.
