Today is the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics
In February 2022 Beijing will be the first city to ever host both a Summer and a Winter Olympic Games. The sports will be located in three zones with the ice sports and Big Air within the Beijing zone around the Olympic Green, utilising 2008 legacy venues such as the iconic Birdโs Nest, Water Cube and Wukesong Sports Centre. The snow sports will be held in two clusters north of Beijing, with alpine and sliding at the National Alpine Ski Centre alongside the Great Wall in Yanqing, with ski jumping, biathlon, nordic combined, cross country, halfpipe and freestyle events located in Zhangjiakou.
This is a video introduction to the Yanqing zone which will host alpine skiing and sliding events at the National Alpine Ski Centre for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

I ainโt going to watch the fake snow and real genocide 5 rings game, forget about the political side , the money CCP spent in organising this game, why donโt they spend it on building schools for the rural mountain area for the children and improve the health care system so the sick can go to hospital without having to pay huge hospital bills.

Must say that I found it quite impressive, but missed something, don't know a certain feeling perhaps, can not express it in words. Loved the snowflakes and was also surprised not seeing the caldron, wonder why this decision ๐ค
For me it was the closing with children of all different nationality and the images they revealed behind them while walking all together in one line which touched me.
I will enjoy and support all the teams, altho with some extra support for the Belgian team, being a Belgian, and the Italian one country where I live.
