Never receive lives from other players

I asked this question some time ago and never got a satisfactory reply.
I have been playing this game on and off for many years and I send lives to other players whenever I am offered the opportunity. I know they are received because they send me growth.
However, I never receive any lives from other players no matter how many I am linked with by the game.
I do not and will not link the game to Facebook and despite this this is not an issue for me with any other King games that I play.

Thank you for replying but again this does nothing to resolve my issue in my original question I was very clear that I do not use Facebook. The core of your response takes me to how to add Facebook friends.
The other links offer me no insight or solutions.

You are welcome. But unfortunately as there is still no options how to add King.Com/Kingdom friends right now. We hope their team still suggesting and working "Add King.Com/Kingdom Friends Feature" for their future. 😊
