Today is the Dragon Boat Festival, and I've cooked up yet another cool Candy Crush Saga fan art about it!

That's right, it's a reenactment of the scenario of the game's 120th episode, Delightful Docks, (released June 2016) and it shows Denize herself in need of a pick-me-up before she can go to the dragon boat races. She sits on the docks, exhausted, dangling her feet and prehensile tail, the latter which will go limp and droop should she run out of stamina. Only a helping of her favorite meal, zongzi, could restore her stamina, and Tiffi happens to have a piece on hand to feed her.

With Denize's prehensile tail too weak to grab her meal and bring it to her gaping jaws, Tiffi must toss the zongzi up into the air (and risk accidentally getting it dropped into the water) for Denize to catch in her tiny, clawed hands. In spite of this risk, Izzy gets her meal and the burst of stamina she needs to hop into the water and rocket through Delightful Docks at breakneck speed!

This is one of the few fan art pieces that I've made that are based on an episode pulled straight out of the game, and I wanted to preset a somewhat more realistic look at the Delightful Docks scenario. I wanted to show that if Denize gets tired, she has to sit out and deal with her limits instead of floating out, ready for a swim. One observation I've made about her anatomy is that she usually keeps her tail up like a squirrel, and that takes energy. When that's gone, I surmise her tail would droop. Only a helping of zongzi could restore her strength, and this fan art shows Tiffi giving it to her, just like how the scenario of the episode would end. And I've also made efforts to faithfully reproduce the background appearance of the Docks, to make it clear that this is Delightful Docks, all right. Today is the first day of summer, and I happened to come up with a cool idea for more Izzy fan art that'll be heartwarming!

That's right, it's Izzy back home in Lemonade Lake enjoying her stay-cation! Sure, she's up for going places to relax, but sometimes there's no place like home for her when it comes to relaxing on a hot summer day! Here's she's bathing in the lake enjoying a big, sweet lemon pop made by none other than Olivia!

For the many ways I wanted to show a full picture of Denize, I've sometimes had no problem with making art where you don't get to see her rarely-seen legs, and this was one of them. I also had no problem evoking the notion that she was easily mistaken for a sea serpent and thought up of a way to show her acting playfully at home floating in her lake. With summertime being a good time to swim, I then decided that the picture would be about her enjoying a relaxing staycation. To make it clear that she's enjoying herself, for starters, I had Denize wear sunglasses and her two-piece swimsuit. As for what she'd be actually doing, I then recalled wanting to make a picture of Izzy sticking out her flat purple tongue, and settled on making the picture about her licking a cool lemon pop in the heat of day. Of course, with her arms being too short to hold it, I had the treat held by her prehensile tail.

Originally, I was just going to show Tiffi again nearby Izzy as if she were to hand the snack over to her, but then after some consideration, I realized that it would be better if Olivia the octopus, known for making food and treats, would have the honors of doing so, and I then put her in the lake as well, reasoning that she would not have any problem swimming in lemonade. And thus, this is my first fan art depiction of Olivia!

Whoa! I thought you would be so surprised to see my fan art of poor Izzy winding up in a Bubblegum Trap in this forum. She definitely looks as if she's not having a good day!

This fan art was inspired by the Volcanic Panic event that entered beta in June of 2024, in which the last level of an episode is changed to a bubblegum rescue mission where you have to remove all bubblegum to break a Bubblegum Trap that is holding one of three male characters in the game hostage, or to destroy the Bubblegum Shield of the evil Bubblegum Troll holding them all hostage once they've been freed. The very notion that the Bubblegum Troll would be powerful enough to trap characters in huge gobs of very sticky bubblegum led me to wonder how bad it would look if a huge monster like Denize herself became the Bubblegum Troll's next victim, and trust me, when you see her helpless, you will definitely want to rescue her, even if you can't easily imagine a giant dragon being held hostage and in need of help. The result is that a powerful trap engulfs her long, long body, sticking and rooting her to the ground and completely immobilizing her. That's right, all of her limbs are smothered and frozen in bubblegum, so she's not able to move at all! The bubblegum also sticks her tail to the ground since Bubblegum Troll knows that she has a prehensile tail that he'd be smart to disable with gum as well. And to top it all off, the slimy bubblegum sticks her jaws shut so she couldn't talk or breathe fire to melt out the bubblegum (although the Bubblegum Troll is kind enough to let her breathe through her nose and see with her eyes).

After you've taken one good look at what Izzy has got herself into, I'm sure you'd definitely want to do anything to save her. She would clearly appreciate any help in getting her out of this sticky situation!
