@christinewupp Since I have never actually played the spearmint snowstorm, is it better or worse than the alien one? Also… it just occurred to me. I wonder if volcanic panic and the rockets were a test for the new fish?

Ya with the last update for some, I ran into this with a new game, there are far more "pay to pass levels". I think they added a new difficulty setting and are testing it out. The last patch was a mess all around.

It is a test King is doing to potentially change the way fish work. Generally a lot of the tests are on the newer accounts since they have to redo some levels for the new fish mechanic to not be a broken mess. Basically it is 3 dumb fish vs 1 (3 if you match 2 fish together) smart fish.

Basically, Any level can be triggered as a "Hard" level, the ones where they say, you passed a hard level. Both the Alien Invasion and Spearmint Snowstorm trigger at least have of their levels as Hard.
