That has never happened to me. It's strange. I've left mine for hours and all I have ever lost is the timed ones. Just restart from where my bots were up to. A glitch maybe. The bots aren't timed as far as I know. You gain a booster for every level you complete in a row up to a certain point, if you get high enough up the bot chain you gain extra boosters which ARE timed, usually 10 minutes. This answers my question. I feel though that it is a blatant attempt to get players to spend money on boosters. As difficult as the levels at the top are now, it is virtually impossible to win 5 levels in a row consecutively without boosters. Hi, I don't get any boosters anymore, not even when I win 3 levels in a row. if you are winning levels for the helmet, you only need win 3 in a row, all at the first attempt but if you're trying to fill the spaceship you need to win 7 in a row, all at the first attempt.
