Problem w/ lily pads on Blossom Blast Saga level 589

when I hit the upper boulders & they travel over the lily pads to hit the dirt piles on the right side, when the boulder ricochets back, the lily pad disappears underneath it & the boulder falls into the water so the boulder is only used once. In any of the videos I've watched to help solve this level, the lily pads do NOT disappear when the boulder settles back so in the videos, the boulder is used up to 3 times before it is smashed. This is happening on both my mac & my iPad. My iPad is using version 34.1.5.

No where near level 589 so can't check in mine to see if it's the same. When was the video posted that your watching by the way?
