I think you should uninstall and then reinstall your game. Be sure to save your progress first. If you have any boosters, use them up first, because you will lose them.
Let me know if that fixes your game. I just did it, and now my game is working like it should.
Am I the only one that sends lives to others or requests lives? Funny, I rarely get a life?

There is a new daily bonus calendar that came out today!
Will there ever be bonuses again? I don't know about anyone else but with covid I can't afford to be buying gold bars!! This was the main reason I loved the game so much!! During the time of losing our jobs I had something I could enjoy that did not cost...as well as put a smile on my face when I earned a bonus!! This may seem silly to some but when you have no money to spend playing games having a free one that rewards you is a nice welcome!!

If you want to try uninstall and install steps, you have your gold bars are saved/transfered but all of the boosters have lost and some events will be reset and gone.
