Thank you for this thread @DieOmimi and for the lovely badge @johamilton
In France people who celebrate New Year's Eve usually gather with friends for a festive night of good food, music and dancing. Usually in cities a firework is organised by the City Hall. But people who don't attend it, will on the dot of midnight all go outside with pans and clatter it with a spoon TO MAKE LOTS OF NOISE while exchanging "Happy New Year" shouts around. That's really crazy ๐๐คญ
I wish you all fellow BBS players a peaceful and joyful end of year ๐
In my country we welcome the new year with a countdown then the beautiful fireworks to start the year ๐๐ฅณ๐
Here in the UK, people either go.out for a celebration dinner followed by fireworks or they stay at home and watch the New Year firework displays from all around the world on TV.
Thank you @DieOmimi for a lovely post ๐
In my country I welcome the new year most likely by being fast asleep. Work keeps me so tired and I work new years eve so I'll be tired and in bed sleeping ๐ค
With the family having a special dinner and watching seasonal shows on TV.
We stay home and welcome it very quietly. Mr Choo usually says something along the lines of "Well that's another year started" and then we go back to watching something and then go to bed lol.
I don't remember how is my country welcome the New Year but I think my country will put firework to celebrate it.
Here in South Africa, there's going to see the lights, watching the fireworks, having a braai (BBQ) that's big here throwing a braai party ๐
