Hi @DieOmimi thank you for your blawsome poll, @Lola_Pop for a beeautiful badge and @Diamond_Lim for tagging 🤗
I love gardening, plants and flowers and have many, so this wasn't any easy choice. My vote on this one is based on bees. Bees will visit wild roses, and leaf cutter bees like rose leaves for making a nest. I love watching them, they use many pots in my greenhouse.
However sunflowers will attract an array of different specie of bee like Honey bees, Blue banded bees, Leaf cutter bees, Carpenter bees, Teddy Bear bees.
Bees are attracted to sunflowers due to their bright, yellow petals that emit UV light that bees can see. Sunflowers also have a beautiful scent that bees can detect. Sunflowers are full of nectar that the bees collect. Bees will pollinate the flowers as they visit each one helping them to set the dark, black sunflower seeds ready for next years crop.
Planting sunflowers in your yard at spring will mean that your garden will be a haven for bees. They will visit to collect the pollen and will also help to pollinate your fruit trees, tomatoes and strawberries. 😊
Not only do sunny sunflowers bring a smile, they also serve a number of other purposes, being it in the food trade for us humans, but more importantly for me, feeding wild birds.
