I haven't even attempted a single level since the change. I was (and still am) on level 6005. Sorry King, but this change was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Please tell "the Studio" that it's too late. I've stopped playing and won't be coming back now, regardless of what they do. They should have engaged us before making the changes, not afterwards when they realized they'd made a mistake. It's not the first time it's happened either.
I don't buy that it's not possible to bring this feature back quickly. The app already supports the capability to have it both ways and will already be part of the codebase. King just toggled it off by changing a configuration parameter. Simple to switch it back on. Only explanation - they just don't care what their users…
King definitely changed it. I never won it in years of playing and then won twice times in the space of a few days a couple of weeks back. Not come up again since, though.
1) When did I ever blame community managers?! What I meant was it wasn't an issue that needed fixing. 2) We'll see. But as I've said before, I probably won't be playing any more if it's not sorted by this Wednesday. The whole point of playing is to keep up with the levels, so I won't return to the game if I can't do that.
1) I never noticed any issues or glitches with how the game worked before. 2) Exactly, so why not allow us to place the boosters where they will be useful (e.g. not in a corner where they can't be used). Then we wouldn't have to keep exiting the level and restarting.
In response to: "Last but not least, an open question: Can you think of a different way for us to preview levels in the game?" 1) Why not just put it back the way it was? 2) Instead of selecting boosters to use before you enter a level, allow them to be added when in the level itself and placed. This is not rocket science.
I didn't see you post the link to vote to bring the feature back in this thread. Here it is: https://community.king.com/en/candy-crush-saga/discussion/272346/bring-back-the-ability-to-reset-the-board/p1?new=1
I remember back when I was a lad, and computer games were very basic. They took 10 minutes plus to load up on my ZX Spectrum. That could be frustrating. But the games all had three things that Candy Crush doesn't: 1) A finite end point. You had a goal to work towards, and you could say you'd finished it, rather than a…
Amongst all the outrage, there's a serious point here. How is it fair that new players starting the game today should play under a different set of rules to those who have already played those levels? It makes achieving anything in the game pretty meaningless.
I've seen that thread already. That "error" as you call it was a feature, not a bug, and removing it makes progress in the game tedious and impossible, especially as King now release 45 levels a week! So yes, I will 100% be quitting if it's not restored.
I've never understood this. King themselves say that the game helps people chill and relax. But I've only ever found it stressful, annoying and terribly addictive.
This is quite simple. I have always said if this ever gets "fixed", this is when I stop playing. The ability to restart levels without penalty is the only way to get through the levels at a decent pace these days, especially with the stupid quantity released each week! No longer enjoyable. Bye bye.
