thanks @PrettyBubbles I have closed and reopened the game several times. It did not work for me either - I see another player responded with the same issue as me. I am not particularly worried but it would be a super pain for newer and other players.
there’s an earlier post about this - under “support” - same has occurred for many of us.

I've only just got my lives all back after them being missing for about 3 months.... Does this mean it's another 3 months before I get them back again.

The lastest update has just deleted all my saved messages/lives.
