It's a mastery token you need for the new event, Season Mastery. Check this link: You don't need tickets to play in Candy Cup.

It's the same for me, only new levels count.
-
Well, it took me 22 levels to collect 8 gems. Not bad. I don't hold high hopes for the final, though. Maybe I'll try a very late entry strategy if I play.

An interesting observation. This is a ploy to push players to expend boosters/gold to win the level NOW, then. Just like the butterfly event.

These are tokens you need to collect for the new feature called 'Season Mastery'. I don't have this feature myself yet, but I'll link the thread describing it below:
-
Today I played 15 levels and collected 4 gems. There was one more gem that got turned into a wrapped candy by a CB+wrapped combo, and it wasn't counted. Hopefully I can collect another 4 gems on my next 15 levels, if not, I won't go out my way to get it done.

I remember reading your thread in Support section, and I'm glad you received your reward, @Carol-38 🙂

This limited weekend feature offers everyone the chance to double their rewards by playing double the amount of levels of their base Candy Royale. My base Candy Royale alternates between 8 and 9 levels, and the Double Royale was 16 or 18, but now it is always 14. Apparently, they capped it at 14.

At first, I usually get a generic pop up like the one you posted, with no level requirement indication. When Candy Royale becomes available, it shows pop up with level amount:

Hi @Carol-38 It's 14 levels for me right now. Last time around I also played 14 levels, but in the past I had to play 16 or even 18.
