@johamilton - it is fine because we did not expect a no show from @BobaKitty_BW3fan and we were not sure what we have to do so I asked Sam to post a last minute entry. He is in Philippines and I am in US. By the time, he got my message, it was a little late.
We should have a stricter rules in future team contests to be fair to members who are ready and willing to help out the team.
@Anahita_2005 @LeFlarcane - one deficit score is hard to compete against the other teams even when we have three ๐ฏ . It was fun for me even though we did not medal but we did get some free boosters๐
Completely agree with you @KCullen127. I still remember the first team challenge in the community was 2 years back in CC Soda area & in a couple of teams there was a no show, eventually the teams managed to fill in the empty place. At that time it was something new so it wasn't a major problem, but the question still remains same, why did they signed up?
Anyway, I'm hoping we could find a solution to this problem.
True that KC!๐ฏ Free boosters are always helpful in BW ๐
We aren't at all disappointed with you Jo! ๐ค
It was just that we were hoping @BobaKitty_BW3fan might show up in the end.
All I expect for the future team competitions is that if a player has signed up then it needs to be crystal clear that they will be available throughout the competition & wouldn't ghost us or keep us hanging.
I totally agree. I don't think I have ever had a perfect team tournament. There are always snags with absent players. Sad to say ๐
@johamilton - I think we need a consensus- something along that line where we set certain rules for team challenge. Check-in within certain time and must post one score before certain deadline.
We can try that for sure! ๐ค
Thanks @johamilton
I hope I can speak for every member of Team Asia - we are good even though we came in third. I actually love the 2nd position because of the boosters but I wanted to win top for some members of our team who tried their hardest to get such fantastic scores. Until we meet again Team Asia and hopefully we will do better.
This was a great team contest and i'm very happy i was allowed to play for Team Asia, hopefully we'll get to play together again sometime.
Thanks to @johamilton for such a fun contest, and @KCullen127 and @Anahita_2005 for looking after the team.
About teammates not actually playing after checking in - i think once someone has said they'll take part they should only have 2/3 days to submit their first screenshot, that way we'd at least have something to work with. If they don't then they should be automatically dropped from the team and someone else could step in instead.
