Free spells are no longer spells

When I watch an ad for a free spell, starting this week, most the time I'm given things that aren't spells....things like one fairy or other things that hardly help at all (or don't help). Why am I watching ads for what is promised to be a free spell when I'm not even rewarded with a spell, nonetheless anything that will be helpful? If a free spell is offered then a spell should be the reward.

Please try the following lets see if it helps 💓
Force close apps and restart your device.
Check that you have the latest game and device updates
You need a strong connection wi fi is better and at least 2gig of free memory then clear the game cache as overloaded cache can create issues
Android: Settings > Apps > Candy Crush Soda > Storage > Clear Cache
iOS: Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data
