What happened to the characters voice?

I have now installed the latest update, 4.18.1.0. Still no fix and it very quiet in this thread.

I get the feeling that this was totally deliberate and it makes the game a lot less fun. I mean, the game is called Candy Crush Friends and it looses its charm without the voices. At least make them optional instead of removing them completely. I'll wait a bit longer but if nothing happens I'll stop playing it after more than 1700 levels.

I'm guessing nothing is going to be done about what was removed during the last few updates. This is why I hate updates...They have a tendency of making things worse. Then it takes even longer to fix. I would gladly roll back the last few updates just to get all of the sound effects back. When you're use to having something since day one and then it disappears to the point where it seems like nothing will be done, it makes me not want to be bothered with this game anymore. It's been nearly a month with no word as to if this problem will ever be fixed.

Nope. Still missing and I just updated.

Same. Still missing. None of the characters who's missing their voices are working.

I just uptated to version 4.17.2.0, cleared data and cache. Tested "Professor Odus", and the voice is still missing.

Hi @Dizzzybee @pellemolle have you updated? For me, our characters are making their usual sounds again.

I was told that something was removed when the last update was done and that they will be looking into it. There's nothing wrong on your end.

The fact that characters no longer make sounds when their power is charged isn't due to your account or device. Apparently, this feature was removed in the last update.
I've reported this and am waiting for a response/solution.

I second that. I have also lost a lot of voices. For instance, when Odus gets obsessed nothing is heard for me. And when he later shoots the power up, it is completely silent. This error happens to me even if I clear data and cache or reinstall the game. I have also tried to install on another device with the same result. I'm on Android and use version 4.17.1.0 on the game. I will hold off playing until it is solved since it takes away much of the fun.
