Many of us agree with you. If you go to this thread in the Ideas section, you can upvote it. If it gets enough upvotes, then the developers will know that this is something to seriously consider.

You get level pins (which are just the number of shots you can make at the other player's ships) when your teammates pass levels. So, when you choose teammates at the beginning, try to choose people who are most likely to be active when you are.

I'm using the Windows app, and not having any issues. What happens when you try to load the game? Be very descriptive so we know what's happening. If you get an error message, let us know exactly what that is as well.

You don't have to do anything else. When 4-in-a-row pops up, and I don't want to do it, I just don't pick a tile. When Rescue Buddies pops up, and I don't want to do it, I just exit before I'm matched with someone. You can just ignore the Weekly Contest and Candy Hunt popups. You don't need to worry about the other stuff…
