Using Android phone samsung galaxy s3, with lots of memory and storage-over 5g storage and over 1.5 g availble to run game. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, kept up with all updates.

1.5gb is definitely a good and sufficient amount for apps to breathe but If you've already followed the suggested troubleshooting then there's not a lot you can do.
