Unable to progress in Candy Crush Jelly - timer resetting

I've been playing Candy Crush Jelly Saga on facebook through the browser, however I've been stuck at level 40, not able to progress because the timer keeps resetting to 3 days. This happens in Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. I've cleared my cache and removed and re-added the game to my facebook account but it's still occurring. Some button elements also appear as a bright pink/fuchsia box instead of how they're meant to appear.
