I completed a level but it did not record that I completed the level
Here are the details of my winning of level 181.
Because I keep my dailies, I was on a 2 hour portion with a free candy bomb for those 2 hour. So, I started the level with a bomb. The game started itself out with a bomb and I was able to drop that bomb next to the other bomb. I then created the 2 monklings by matching the orange candies.
Once I had the 2 monklings created, I exploded the double candy bomb and it started it's smashing of all the candies. Well th at's where I hit continue.
Once I hit continue, it took me through the portal but on the other side, it still said level 181 which I had already completed.
I would like to be moved ahead a level because I completed level 181 already by exploding 2 candy bombs (The speckled ones that look like chocolate with sprinkkles) together and both monklings fell through because the entire board was blank as a result of the color bombs.

I am sorry that it happened to you. Check App update> Sign out game> Restart device and wait 5 minutes after power on> Open game and sign in. Please clear the cache, this is important! I would also play the level again and exit and then update and clear the cache and reopen it.

It seems your game is failing to register the completion of the level properly. Try following Spinnifix's tips. Clear cache is only possible if you play on a mobile app. You can go to your device settings->app management -> find and open CCJS app -> memory storage--> clear cache. Please be careful not to clear data, those are for your boosters.
Then I kindly ask you to replay the level and wait for it to show the complete message where there are the stars and points. Then press the "X" exit symbol at the top right and not "continue" or "next".
If the problem still persists please share a screenshot of level 181 on the map to see if it looks different.
