I'd suggest to check for app update and disconnect and reconnected too: log out, restart device and wait a couple of minutes, log in and clear a level to make sure your game is connected to ther server.
Beside RC disappearance, has your game started to show some other anomalies after your software update? Some messages, some glitches?
If it isn't the case then you shouldn't worry, features can disappear on their own for reasons that are not related to what the players do and can reappear after quite some time. Please read post shared by Diamon Lim for more info.
Though this happened after the device updated. If RC has temporarly disappeared it can come back after a game update, hopefully.
Let us know if something changes or RC doesn't reappear by then.

On level 9580, on the second board, I had no candies to match on my first two attempts and lost the level. On the third try, I was lucky and played again. After a few more attempts, I passed again.
