Where are my lives

I have recently been getting notifications staying so many friends have given me extra lives, but when I click on my lives thing, there are no lives there. Has this happened to anyone else? And does everyone understand what I am asking?

I don't play on FB, otherwise I would start from level 1. I don't want to start at level 1 so I save my progress.
