As long as you know you have at least 2gig of free memory and clear the game cache from your all device settings menus as it may be full then close down and leave your devices off for a couple of minutes then you will need to uninstall your app
Since you are trying to to log in with FB, their may be a problem on their side You said others are also having this problem. I don't know where you read that, but again it might be a problem on the FB side.

it won’t let me login that the issue and this is not connected to my fb and now I back at level 1 and I refuse to start over
Hi and welcome to the Jelly community. Please do not be upset. Sometimes this happens. You will get back to your original level.
To get your levels back, log out of your game (do not Delete your app) , then log back into your game with your mail an your password. It shoud then be back to the correct level. If ot play one level, the do the soft reset again and it will be back. 💕
