Hi dear Jess @Princess_Jessica, JoΒ @johamiltonΒ andΒ @Snow_RiderΒ Thank you so much for this lovely memory-full thread and the beautiful badge π»ππ
What is your first Halloween memory?
Halloween was not very popular in my country (France) until the 2000 millenium, so I was an adult then π. We traditionally commemorate All Saints Day, by celebrating our dead relatives and going to cemetaries. So my first memory of Halloween was when I lived in Japan from the year 2000. They take it very seriously there, and they even have picnics amongst the tombs!
What was your favorite costume as a child?
No costumes as a child, but as an adult, my first costume was of course one of a Witch (Wicked, I do not know π)
What was your favorite candy?
I am not very fond of sugar, but my favorite candy of all time is marshmallow.I do not know why, but these give me a lot of confort, and that overtakes their very sweet flavour
Last question! What are your plans for Halloween?
To decorate the entrance of the house and welcome children with nice treats (and allow them little tricks on me even though I am still a Witch in disguise π§ββοΈππ€£)
Happy Halloween to you all Jelly fans!

Thank you everyone for sharing with us π
I love reading all the responses β€οΈ
I am loving reading all of your memories. My plan is to sit outside (if not raining) and enjoy all the kids that come by. They are always so happy, laughing, running and making new friends on the street.
Halloween is certainly a fun night for out kiddos. π€
Hi @Princess_Jessica thank you for this fun thread and wonderful chance to earn a badge. @Snow_Rider Love the badge
As a young child we didn't go trick or testing. There weren't very many neighbors near us. The first costume I wore was a cowboy. I had all of the items like chaps, vest, boots and cowboy hat as I had horses and rode western.
My favorite costume was when my friends and I dressed up as Charles Manson' s girls.
Favorite candy is Reese's peanut butter cups
This year I will probably stay home and hand out candy. But we don't get many trick or treaters. I live alongside an old cemetery and there aren't many houses on my street.
my first Halloween memory is trick or treating in the neighborhood. My favorite costume was one my mother made. She made large playing cards (front and back) and turned me into one of the red Queenβs playing cards who was painting the roses red. I wore a red hoodie and carried a pan of red paint. I had a tissue paper white rose that was painted partially red and had a paint brush with red paint on the bristles.
One of my favorite candies was Nestles Crunch and this Halloween I plan to dress my dog up and visit the neighbors.

My first memory was helping my dad carve my pumpkin. I started crying because the pumpkin guts stung my hands and made them itch and gave me hives/rash.
My Grandma was about 4 foot 8, tiny and always wore simple, plain, everyday cotton dresses. I was probably in 4th or 5th grade the year I dressed up as Grandma. It wasn't raining that year so my mom put flour in my hair to make it gray.π§ I wore her dress and coat as my costume. Not a fancy costume but my favorite.β€οΈ
Reese's peanut butter cups are my favorite candy. My son has a severe life threatening peanut allergy so I've only had a few in the last 24 years.
I have no plans for Halloween this year and I'm fine with that.π€
My first Halloween memory is walking around the neighborhood with my mom and sister, in my princess costume, trick or treating.
My favorite candy is the candy corn.
My plans this year is to hand out candy to the trick or treaters while enjoying their costumes.
@Kerrie @johamilton @Princess_Jessica - hello ladies! π¬πβ¨ππππ©·
Homemade costumes are truly the best! With two daughters, one might assume that prom dresses hold great importance, right? Not in my household... at least not during Halloween, when costumes take center stage. Each year brought more events to attend, and letβs be honest, you can't wear the same costume twice, just like a prom dress. As a self-taught creator, I crafted incredible costumes for the girls year after year, complete with hair and makeup. I joined in on the fun too! My favorite homemade costume was a Dalmatian, featuring ears, a tail, and spots, along with a collar and leash. Amazingly, it still fits! I simply turned a white sweatshirt and sweatpants inside out, painted spots using various-sized sea sponges, and for the tail, we stuffed a homemade tube of white fabric. A white ball cap completed the look, adorned with eyes, a nose, and floppy ears. It was by far the simplest yet most delightful costume!
