I'd like to add to Christine's reply re dark chocolate behavior.
If you break all the chocolate on the board, the chocolate-making machines will stop producing it for a while. There are several levels in the game where it may take a LONG while. The time it takes for them to resume producing chocolate may vary between attempts, but it could take 20 or more moves. On one such level, I observed no chocolate spawning for 40 (!) moves, after which I decided to give up the level fearing it would not spawn at all (bye-bye, Candy Royale).
It's not the first complaint I've read about this issue, and I've done some testing on my own. I find it curious that such long delays tend to happen on your first attempt at a level. On subsequent attempts, those levels are usually easy to pass.
Whether you make matches near the chocolate machines does not matter.

If you’d like to transfer your game progress from Facebook to a King account, follow these steps:
Step 1: Create a King Account
1️⃣ Open Candy Crush Saga on your device.
2️⃣ Tap the Settings (gear icon) at the bottom-left of your screen.
3️⃣ Click on "My Profile."
4️⃣ Select "Sign up with email" and create your King account by entering your email, password, and name.
5️⃣ Tap "Create My Account."
Step 2: Sync Your Progress
1️⃣ Log out of Facebook in the game’s profile menu.
2️⃣ Close and restart the game.
3️⃣ Log in using your newly created King account (select "Log in with email").
4️⃣ Your progress should transfer automatically.
If your progress doesn’t sync, don’t worry! You can contact King Player Support for manual help:
- Open Candy Crush Saga
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Tap the ? icon and choose Progress Issues
- Scroll all the way down and select Contact Us
