My board after 48 hours:

As you can see I am playing differently to most of you as I have a different objective. I have decided that this will be my last round as I want to free up my Easter, so I’m using up my remaining tokens and aiming for the biggest possible prize. Checking the board regularly but only playing sporadically.

Very close between 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the moment. I don’t know what they are seeing. Nobody else has used a token - I’ve played 2 in this round already and will play the rest later. Poor old Baky had been leading after playing for hours on end, and has been playing pretty much every time I’ve checked since, and I have to say zooming past him with the token did not feel good.

I’m not a multiplier fan at all. Presumably it will be different in Stage 6 when most if not all players will have them but at the moment it doesn’t feel like a fair fight. And my possible moral dilemma is - do I knock out someone who had really put the effort and time into it, just so I can take the top spot rewards, or settle for the 2nd place rewards and let them qualify, since I have no interest in being in the next round anyway?

With that said - wouldn’t it be gloriously ironic if someone else played a late token and shot past us all. It’d serve me right for my overconfidence!

I figure it would be good to share our progress, and your thread seems like a good one, @__MULLIGANACEOUS__ , so here's mine after the second day. I actually joined today, about 22 hours after the start of the round. Here it is now:

Mayara has led almost the whole way, jumping to 23,000 in the first half hour but then stopping. I played very slowly and conservatively most of the day and eventually caught up about 12 hours later. Then Mayara woke up within minutes after I got the lead and played another half hour to 50,000, then went back to sleep. This time I actually played faster and caught up at a more reasonable pace. It will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings.

I was able to get 35K blue candies by using a single token multiplier. Was I cheating or I'm just much better than you?

That actually doesn't sound too bad @MarcRizzii. You can easily make up 2k points in one episode race. Don't give up, there is a lot of time to go and you just have to keep playing your game. Remember, your opponent has to sleep too 😉

I don't think that's quite how it works @michimune . The leaderboard either goes stagnant or moves but I don't get the impression that it is related to whether the app is open or not. In fact in my games it seems to not relate to whether I am passing levels or not. However I think players who use multiplier tokens themselves probably see others do the same.

I used to try to keep my win streak at all costs but when I really thought about it and did some calculations, it really wasn't worth it to me. I've seen posts from others who feel the same way. It seems like King does this to try to get people to spend money as people think the win streak is the most important thing to do. As for watching ads for gold bars, I know I have the Sweet Cinema that allows me to watch ads for boosters, not gold bars. Once you spend money on the app, it removes that feature from your game.

Thanks so u calculated it might be better to lose the streak candies to preserve more gold bars. But if in competition such as all stars or the episode races, do you think you'd move past the levels quick enough without the extra streak candies, or it would about even out?
