Re: It's time for me to turn tail from this game and retire early after 424 levels.
Thanks for the reply @snakegore999. It makes sense and I understand your motives better now. Your posts in Support are helpful but I would advise against giving advice to players stuck on level above 18,000. If you have not played those level ranges yourself you cannot understand the difficulty players face near the end of the map: They are systematically being blocked by King from playing, unless they pay lots of money.
I will help you out trying to increase your position in the community, which I think a few "helpful"s should achieve. You don't need to be a legend to change your community avatar, I believe that Royalty is sufficient? So good luck with getting there, should not be so far.
Re: It's time for me to turn tail from this game and retire early after 424 levels.
I did advance a few episodes just for Petal Peril, but truthfully, I have not progressed very far into the game's legions of levels.
I was only being more active just to show off some more Denize fan art and to score more points for my profile to try to get my profile promoted. I thought Champion would allow me to change my avatar, but was devastated to discover that I need 1,000 more forum points to get to Legend, the actual rank where I can do that.

Hi @snakegore999 When I noted that you are now helping out in Support with some good advice, including a level above 20,000, I remembered this good-bye thread in which you announced your retirement from the game. So I set out to find it and here it is!
We've enjoyed your illustrations in the past two and a half years since you quit playing. Does this change of direction mean you took up playing the game again and moreover does it mean that your posts about Izzy and the gummi dragons will be gone from this community?
Re: The playing field has shrunk again
Thank you, that is really helpful. I remember it being a long reply, a bit too long and personal.
Re: The playing field has shrunk again
Maybe you did what I do a lot: Typed your message and then forgot to click the button that would post your message.
Re: The playing field has shrunk again
I am sure I replied to this post but I cannot see my answer. Did I or am I having memory loss? I remember writing it. Did I delete it instead of posting? Anyone here remember seeing it?
Re: Chocolate Box new level wins only
Hi @Vickistar there isn't a lot I can say in response to your comment as I can't tell you if the Chocolate Box will return to the way it used to be.
I find your post interesting though as I have started to ponder why it is everyone hates the new Chocolate Box so much.
You have played for fourteen years, so that means you have played the game without the Chocolate Box for longer than you have had the Chocolate Box. As you have played the game for so long why not play as if it weren't there as you used to.
For many weeks I practically stopped playing Candy Crush and only opened my game to send lives to people. The only playing I did was to play old levels to fill some of the Chocolate Boxes.
Due to the Chocolate Box change I have tried playing new levels again and like you I find the game and Chocolate Box boring now. This is odd I feel as collecting coloured candy meant that I used to play an old level repeatedly.
kept it fun and interesting.
I think this is what King has forgotten. People like to play the game at their own pace and in their own style. The constant changes aimed at making us play new levels (timed boosters, time limited features and rewards for playing new levels only) has sucked the fun and individuality out of the game.
