Re: All Stars
You and your auntie could go to London together. The finalists in Live Finals can bring a guest. It's 1+1.😍
Re: First past the post leaderboard dynamics and analysis
I think I must have broken the app. Nobody played on the entire leaderboard for hours. Georg played a few levels this morning and then stopped at one of the easiest levels in the middle of an episode. Apart from that there is absolutely no change since I went to bed last night.
Make of that what you like.
The round is now finished and the next round starts tomorrow morning.

The characters are back! It is unfortunate amphibians are the second most endangered of the animal categories (the first would be the coral reefs) by IUCN.

All Stars
Well friends, my journey through the All Stars have come to an end. I’m in 5th place in the second chance and not moving from that spot anytime soon. I was in second place in the second knockout but got stuck for two days on the same level and ended up finishing in 10 place. However, my Auntie who is using my tablet made it through to the next First Final Knockout. Now mind you she is really not playing to win she is 96 years old. I help her a lot to get through levels and she is using my tablet and my other account. She doesn’t want to win she just having fun and brags to all her friends in the Assisted Living Facility she lives at. They all are cheering her on and it hopes her up to keep playing. Can you imagine she gets a spot to go to the finals and she gets cheered on by an entire Assisted Living Facility. I keep telling her I’ll make sure she goes to Lo don and she tells me I’ll go in her place that she’s not getting on no airplane or QE2.
Re: Why did the spoons collection challenge disappear?
Thanks for coming back to us @saygrays that’s a completely fair concern. If the Baker’s Box was showing another two days left, I can understand why you decided to save your spoons.
Just as CaramelKat mentioned, events like this can sometimes come and go, but if something disappears while the timer is still showing time left, that’s definitely useful for us to flag. I’ll also pass your feedback on to the team, because I agree that changes like this can feel frustrating when they happen without warning.
If you get the Baker’s Box again, please grab a screenshot of the timer if you can. And if it disappears again before that time is up, send us the screenshot along with your Game ID and we can report it as a possible issue.
Re: The Eureka moment
We are playing against recordings in the first three All Stars rounds.
I really don't think we are playing against recordings @christinewupp
In a game that has 170 million active monthly users I can think of no good reason why King would go to the trouble of using recordings.
Also King tell us that recordings are used for the Episode Race, so they have absolutely no reason not to include this kind of information in the T&Cs of the All Stars if it were the case
I have taken extensive notes on all my accounts and found that players just stop playing for no good reason.
No good reason! What would you consider a good reason? People stopping playing is not unusual and there can be any number of reasons. If I were in some ones leader board I am sure my game play would look fairly odd. I don't play until after 18:00, I only complete 15 levels and then stop playing. I only play for an hour in one day, sometimes less. I am sometimes shown as playing now, but don't complete any levels (just sending lives).
In the First Knockouts round I had one player that came from behind and took first place. I played my usual one Episode and stopped (3000 points). The player in first place had 15,000 points. When I checked two hours later the player has played a few more levels.
When the round finished I found that the first placed player had played more levels again to finish with 16800 points. Why! Why play more levels when no one else on the leader board had no more than 7000 points.
Based on that the evidence is clear and the players on our leader boards do not see us, but see other players and that is why players' on our boards don't appear to be playing in a manner that makes sense to us.
I think think this is backed up by the wording of the T&Cs which say
Collect the blue Candy and finish first place in a Tournament Leaderboard in Final Knockouts Round 1 to reach Final Knockouts Round 2.
Note that all rounds read the same as the above.
This is remarkably similar wording to the Weekly Contest which says
How to play
Win as many levels as you can before the timer runs out
The more levels you win, the better the rewards
I would say the way the rules of the All Stars never states you are playing against, or must beat the players in your leader board is a sign that indicates that the preliminary rounds are conducted in the same manner as the Weekly Contest.
When it comes to strange player behaviour I think you have assumed that every player is playing in the All Stars, but this might not be true. For all we know players that selected that they don't want to participate in the competition might still be having their name and game play included.
I currently link my account with face book but I want to create a king account, how do I do that
how do I create a king account and log it out on face book
First past the post leaderboard dynamics and analysis
Here some findings from today's second chance round. This is not stuff for everyone, as the title will suggest it makes heavy reading. But bear with me. I think I'm having another Eureka moment here.
I've played three brand new accounts so far (more to follow if I can stand playing the same 34 levels over and over) in the second chance round.
This is a 24 hour round, 50 contestants, only one qualifier.
1st attempt:
started ten minutes into the round
I played a few levels then stopped playing and watched the leaderboard.
After twenty minutes every player had stopped playing. Two players had used a token:
Then this is what happened:
Standard stuff, right? We've all seen this throughout the qualifying rounds.
But…. and here comes the big "but".
Here comes Attempt no. 2.
I started the round at 22hours 27 minutes left.
I started using one of my multiplier tokens straight away. This is the leaderboard after half an hour:
Nobody played a token! Everyone was continuously crushing the entire time!
Next attempt, no. 3:
I started with 21 hours and 19 minutes left for the round. I played steadily but not using any tokens.
The board after about half an hour:
Everyone continued to play for the entire half hour. Three players used a token.
This makes very uncomfortable reading my friends. But it answer a lot of questions we had asked in the other thread. I won't go into the analysis here because to those who can work it out it will be obvious. I don't know what to say quite frankly. I might do another test run. Attempt 1 mirrors what I've seen throughout the rounds, so I will repeat 2 and 3 and see if the outcome is different.
The question is: How does this affect our strategy for the knockout rounds?
