I had been wondering how often the leaderboard refreshes and if this has something to do with the speed at which our opponents appear to be playing. That's why I asked about the pop-ups. I found today that the leaderboard wasn't refreshing/updated after every level I played, I was seeing the episode race pop-up between levels instead. In a different round I played another day (can't remember exactly which one, maybe the second chance round) I remember the leaderboard popped up and refreshed between each level I played. I am convinced that the app manipulates speed somehow. We have witnessed so much strange player behaviour in these leaderboards, I am past guessing why these players are behaving like this. The pattern too closely resembles that of the episode races and weekly contest. We know in the weekly contest our opponents can't see us. We know that in the episode race our opponents are recordings. I'm not sure where that leaves these leaderboards we are playing right now, but my guess is that similar systems are in control of what we are experiencing. We are playing to beat the app, not other players.

If you look at the player in fourth place then so far the qualifying score is only 4200. That actually fits the general pattern. There is no guarantee on this of course, but my guess is that like in stage one and two the qualifying mark will be achievable for all players who are making a genuine effort.

Yes,I went from being in 2nd place to 6th and can't pass the level I'm on. UGH! Super frustrating.

but some levels are very hard to pass and every attempt in that game round reduces the scores 🥲
