When I saw Ken in my group, my thought was "I'm screwed". Ken has participated in all the AllStars so far, always with the highest score on the 10 leaderboards. He used his 6 tokens before me, and gained a 100K advantage, which scared me a lot. My wife encouraged me not to give up and luckily when I used my last token, I had the same score as him. After that it was an epic race to the end.

My wife didn't get to compete in stage 6 because she ran out of tokens. She was grouped on "Shemony's" leaderboard.

Congrats on getting so close on a very challenging board, @Kiwi2025! I couldn’t reply directly to your post below - too many subthreads I guess - but being curious I have to ask…..whose ’plus 1’ would you be? No need to reply if you’d rather not say!

Oh I can just imagine that sinking feeling when you saw his name 🫣. Fascinating to hear how it played out. I guess he was trying to scare you into submission early on - thank goodness you listened to your wife!

Hopefully there will be no tokens next year and Mrs. P will be able to compete.

I was on Ken's board last year as well, and he went extremely fast so I knew I was screwed. Very surprised you were able to beat him this year! Excited to (hopefully) see you at the live finals

I have screenshotted all of the seventy-eight players during various states of my run, including the end of the run. Only a few of the seventy-eight that joined played seriously, the others just burned whenever hexes they have, and collected the gold.

By the way, only 24 of 78 had a score of 100k or more. This suggests already the lower two-thirds have two or less hex tokens for their Stage 6 campaign.

By the way, I could easily make it to 200k but chose not to. Only six of 78 (one in thirteen) finished with a score above 200k, four had a score of 300k (suggesting the player had all six tokens, possibly five of six, along with eight hours of slog).
