lost progress and bars after connecting to facebook

I have been playing Candy Crush Saga for a while.  I was on a higher level. I haven't connected to Facebook till now and everything was working fine. But yesterday I tried to connect to Facebook from the game and all my progress was lost. I am back to level 1.  I also lost the 8 bars I had but the timer was still counting as if it knew who I was.  Help!!

    What happens if you try to disconnect from Facebook, do your levels return? Or maybe you can check your Facebook on your computer to see if the progress is there. I don't think it will be lost. I think you just have to toggle the connection a bit to get it to show.

    I have tried disconnecting the app from Facebook, which did not work.  I've only ran the candycrush app on my cell phone prior to this happening.  I was hoping maybe there was a backup file somewhere that could restore my settings.  If not, I'm probably not using the game anymore.
