Lost the ability to send lives to friends in candy crush saga. How do I get it back?

i can receive lives but not send them.  Can send extra moves but not lives.  How do I get back the ability to send lives?

I have lost the ability in the last month to send extra moves or lives to friends. I use a Kindle. One is a Kindle HDX and the other a brand new Kindle HD. Any ideas as they do not use the Google Playstore and there is no way to update the game.
