are there how to guides for each level? I do not understand them all as they are all different. Where would I look to see how each level is played.

You can also search this site by using the search bar found top of this page. Let's say you would like to know more about level 341 in Candy Crush Saga so you enter '341' in the search field, then click on filter and choose Candy Crush. The search result gives you this: https://care.king.com/en/search?q=341&t=all&categoryId=11

Sometimes I go to YouTube and search for a specific level: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=candy+crush+saga+level+341

You can also create a new thread on King Care and ask for a specific level: https://care.king.com/en/ask-a-question/
