Why did I lose 300+ lives twice & my rewards

I lost 300+ lives and all my rewards (double digit it all but one reward) a few months ago when an upgrade was completed.  This time the game wouldn't load for two days so I deleted the game and reloaded it and again my lives were deleted along with my rewards

Please don't harm the messenger but this is something that we have been warned about. The in-game items are stored in the app info, not in your facebook account etc. So it seems that if the app updates or you delete it, these things go with it!
